The 2009 MERLOT Volunteer of the Year Awards
The MERLOT Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes volunteers who serve as peer reviewers, faculty developers, and advocates for MERLOT. These individuals are not supported by their institution, yet perform at a commendable level in their service to MERLOT. Volunteers of the Year were nominated by MERLOT Editors and selected by the Project Directors’ Council.
This year’s awardees impressed the Project Directors with their dedication to MERLOT and its goals, their unquenchable energy in helping to further the efforts of their respective editorial boards, and their commitment to spreading the word about MERLOT. The Volunteer of the Year Award winners were honored with a ceremony at the 2009 MERLOT International Conference.
The 2009 MERLOT Volunteer of the Year Award was given to:
Bob Sproule, from The University of Waterloo.
Professor Sproule has been a member of MERLOT since 2005 and serves as Peer Reviewer for the MERLOT Business Editorial Board.
